All families have that one pet that that leaves a mark in their hearts forever. For me, that was Roxie, a boxer pit mix. She was so sweet and loved everyone. Roxie became a shadow that never left my side or for that fact, my lap.

One of her favorite activity was swimming. If she wasn't at my feet, she was in the water. I don't think I've met a person or dog alive that could have as much fun in a lake than Roxie did. I can still see her floppy, dripping ears after she given herself a bath in the rivers I would take her too.

At two years old, she fell sick. I wish I acted faster. To this day I still don’t know what happened. Within 2 days of her feeling ill she passed away while on our way to the animal hospital in my car.

The worst part is I only had just a handful of photos I posted on social media which were takin by a cell phone to remember her by.
